The area is popular with walkers with the rugged Bodmin Moor being within a few miles and the sandy beaches of South Cornwall a short drive away. The regional city of Plymouth is also close by with its Hoe Barbican National Marine Aquarium St Mellion International Golf Course and other attractions including Flambards Theme Park The Eden Project and more. The north and south coasts are easily accessible with Polperro and Looe an easy drive and for the little ones the Tamar Valley Donkey Park and indoor play area is great on wet weather days.
