Cerne Abbas is a small friendly village lying in the valley of the River Cerne famous for being the home of the Cerne Abbas Giant a chalk figure of a man carved into the hillside. There is an extensive range of public footpaths and bridleways throughout the village and walks to suit every taste the village also boasts a traditional Dorset tea room 3 village pubs and a shop/Post Office. The historic market town of Dorchester is approximately 7 miles away. The seaside resorts of Weymouth Swanage and Lyme Regis with their sandy beaches and coves are also worth a visit.
