The World Heritage Jurassic Coast and seaside port of Lyme Regis are 6 miles away. The regency resort of Sidmouth with its beaches shops restaurants and galleries and the coastal villages of Beer and Branscombe are all nearby. Other local attractions including National Trust properties and gardens. Kilmington is 2 miles from Axminster with a village shop and Post Office well-stocked farm shop and petrol station with shop and bistro. In the evenings stroll to one of the two thatched village pubs both serving good food.
